This Shelby Park mural is one of my favorites! It was installed in 2014 by local artist Tyler Deeb in partnership with Access Ventures. You can find it at 1217 Logan Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40204.

Best Colorful Murals in Louisville Kentucky | The Hikes Point Mural
Installed in 2016, this mural was designed by Liz Richter as part of Center for Neighborhoods‘ Hikes Point P.A.I.N.T. Project. In their own words, “Producing Art In Neighborhoods Together (PAINT) creates high quality public art, cultivates partnerships and resident engagement of all ages, and improves the quality of life inside neighborhoods all over the city.”

Best Colorful Murals in Louisville Kentucky | Sunshine and Shadow Mural
The Sunshine and Shadow mural was painted by Gibbs Rounsavall and is another mural commissioned by Access Ventures. This colorful Louisville mural is on the side of Scarlet’s Bakery at 741 E. Oak Street, Louisville, KY 40203.

Best Colorful Murals in Louisville Kentucky | Nord’s Bakery Murals
These donut murals have to be two of the sweetest murals in Louisville. They can be found on the side of Nord’s Bakery at 2118 S. Preston Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40217. Be sure to go in and grab a dozen; I love their maple donuts and the sugar donuts.

Best Colorful Murals in Louisville Kentucky | Elvis, Ray Charles, Prince, and Madonna Mural
This mural was put up in 2016 and was painted by Skott Marsi! The blues, purples, and pinks make it one of my favorite places to grab pictures. You can find it at 1324 E. Washington Street, Louisville, KY 40206.

Best Colorful Murals in Louisville Kentucky | Via Studio Mural
Via Studio has murals on two sides of their building including this fun rainbow wall! This mural was finished in 2016 and what’s really cool is that Via Studio invited the community to come out and help with the painting. You can find this mural on the back of the building which is located at 223 S. Clay Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40202.
If you go to check it out be sure to head over to Louisville Cream afterwards to get some delicious ice cream and the most incredible and often unique flavors!

Best Colorful Murals in Louisville Kentucky | Story Avenue Mural
This mural was created by Tara Remington and Aron Conaway as an artistic way of depicting the history of Butchertown. It wraps around a building and while I love the combination of color, there’s another part that’s all black and white. You can find this bright mural across from 1201 Story Avenue, Louisville Kentucky 40206.
It’s -right- across from Work the Metal one of my favorite Louisville small businesses. Be sure to head inside and pick up some gifts for yourself and others.

I’ve always been a huge fan of murals! I’ve used a lot of the ones in NYC on my blog as well 🙂 And I’ve always wondered where the first one was, as it’s my favorite! One day I’ll surely have to visit Kentucky and take pics at some of these locations.
