Opportunities to do my makeup or get dressed up for a date have been few and far between this year so when I opened up Charlotte Tilbury’s new collection, I decided to do both for some photos. The Walk of No Shame shade has been a popular part of the brand’s line so much so that they launched this collection. For those not familiar with Charlotte Tilbury, they are a luxury beauty brand. As the products are priced at a higher price point, I thought it would be helpful to review the products I’ve tried here.

Splurging on Luxury Makeup & Charlotte Tilbury’s New Collection | The Luxury Eyeshadow Palette
While I’ve tried some Charlotte Tilbury skincare products, I hadn’t previously tried any of their makeup and had high expectations due to the price point. The Luxury Palette contains four different eyeshadow shades inside a handheld, square palette with a mirror inside and retails for $53. This colorway features eyeshadows in the red, crimson, and rose gold family.

Each palette breaks down the four shades into an application order: prime, enhance, pop, and smoke which makes it easy to apply regardless of your makeup application skill. While I like to mix and match my makeup, I did find that the application guide was helpful. I brushed the prime shade all over my eyelid and up to my brow, used the enhance shade to blend in and define my crease, patted the pop shade over my lids and then blended smoke into my outer crease. {I also used the prime shade as a highlight on my nose and cheekbones!}
Splurging on Luxury Makeup & Charlotte Tilbury’s New Collection | Quick Breakdown
PROS:
- Very user friendly
- Shades are very pigmented so you don’t have to use a ton to get color payoff
- Color coordination is already planned and you can tone things down by using one shadow versus all four
- Price point is on par with other luxury eyeshadows; Bobbi Brown Luxe Encore Eye Shadow Palette, $55, Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Palette, $49, and the Tom Ford Eye Color Quad Eyeshadow Palette, $88.
- Great size for travel, compact packaging.

Worth noting:
- Palette does not include a brush {Not a dealbreaker for me personally, but worth noting.}
- Pop shade applies best from a finger versus a brush
To finish out the eyes, I used the Walk of No Shame eyeliner on my lower lash line; it applies very smoothly. I didn’t love the color when I tried to apply it to my top lash line but it felt good and looked great on the lower lash line.
Splurging on Luxury Makeup & Charlotte Tilbury’s New Collection | Matte Revolution Lipstick
One of the hottest products for the brand is the Matte Revolution lipstick so I was eager to try it out. The formula is incredible, very creamy and applies smoothly. Walk of No Shame is the perfect berry red shade for fall. The packaging is simplistic but beautiful; the rose gold tube has engraved vertical lines and the cap features the Charlotte Tilbury logo. This matte lipstick retails at $34 and I applied it over the Lip Cheat lip liner to prevent bleeding.

Splurging on Luxury Makeup & Charlotte Tilbury’s New Collection | The Outfit
This black bodysuit was one of my top selling items last year; I originally ordered it for a date but also wore it to a concert {remember those?}. It would be cute for a dinner out or date night at home. Since it’s cooled down, I’m wearing it under a boucle tweed jacket that I thrifted from Goodwill.

Also, I’m wearing the new{ish} Urban Decay Lash Freak mascara; I like the Perversion mascara better. The brush makes it easy to apply without getting clumps whereas the Lash Freak brush gave me a lot of clumps if I didn’t apply very slowly and carefully.
