January always feels like it takes 57 years to pass but with it being just three weeks out from Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d share a cozy & chic Valentine’s Day outfit featuring this comfortable dress from PinkBlush! Burgundy is one of those hues that’s great for fall and winter, but with how dreary it’s been lately I really wanted to brighten up my look.

Chic Valentine’s Day Color Combo | The Color Combo
After the holidays, I usually deal with a case of the blues. The cold weather, super short days, and lack of sun play a role so I make sure to take my vitamins {real talk} and dress in bold colors. Bright color always is something that makes me cheery which is probably why it’s so prevalent in my wardrobe. Lots of people stick to a color palette when they shop for clothes, but happy to share that mine is all over the place. The burgundy and hot pink combo is perfect for Valentine’s Day, but if this is too bold for you try blush instead of hot pink!

Chic Valentine’s Day Color Combo | Color of the Month
One of the things I started {quietly} doing last year was picking a color of the month. I have a dedicated Pinterest board that I use for the month’s color inspiration and try to incorporate the color into my blog outfits. For January, I chose black and truthfully it’s been a bit of a struggle. While I have a lot of black, all black isn’t really my jam. {Although my Spanx leggings ARE my jam and have been getting tons of wear this month.} Instead I’ve been mixing black in with secondary pieces. {Also it makes me LOL that I don’t like wearing black, I went through a phase where I was OBSESSED with black and white outfits.}

Chic Valentine’s Day Color Combo | Easy Dresses for Everyday
During the winter months it’s so easy to get caught up in the trap of wearing pants, leggings, or jeans every single day. I try to break it up by breaking out fleece lined tights (the BEST) and casual dresses. PinkBlush has tons of cute winter clothing options in right now and is offering 20% off with promo code REFRESH20 — woohoo! Tee shirt dresses are SO popular because of the number of different ways that you can style them. I was a little self conscious about my hips because this dress is more fitted so I paired it with a long, oversized cardigan.

Chic Valentine’s Day Color Combo | Pink and Red Accessories
I made sure to tie in the burgundy and pink with my accessories. I pulled out a leopard and pink neck scarf as well as a blush pendant necklace that I love. {I’ve said this before but pendant necklaces are THE move right now.} Another trend I’ve been loving are resin statement earrings. These ones are from the Baublebar for Target line and come in a few different color combos. What’s great is that they’re super lightweight and still have some sparkle.

Since I was going for a more casual vibe with this outfit, I slipped into my Koko boots from Bearpaw. They’re so warm and already protected from ice, snow, and salt. {Don’t forget, you can save 20% off everything on the Bearpaw site with promo code: BPAMBWNW.} I’m carrying the Rachel Tote from Fossil; this color is from last year but they have tons on sale!

Beautiful and bright shades of pink, and they all look fabulous on you! I tend to wear a lot of black, all year round, and need to brighten things up a bit. 🙂 Visiting from Fabulous Friday link up
