Instagram Lately & Current Sales

Happy Boxing Day, or as I like to call it, National Spend Your Gift Card Day!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  I’m sharing some photos from Instagram as well as some of the sales I’l be taking advantage of today!

J. Crew Factory has 40-50% off everything.  I always try to take advantage of these sales and stock up on closet essentials {like this basic cardigan — comes in ten colors and is under $25, a solid v neck tee — a staple for me and under $15, and this striped dress that is so easy to layer now with a utility vest and tights or leggings} that I know I’ll need in the season to come.  I also usually end up looking for some “fun” items like this striped off the shoulder top, at under $25 it’s a steal!, and my trusty herringbone vest, it’ll become a winter staple for you and is just $43 today.

I got a lot of questions about all of these pieces when I posted this photo last week; my tee is from The KY Shop.  They’re a Kentucky based apparel company that focuses on producing everything you need to brag on the Commonwealth, although they do have some fun non-Kentucky wares too!  Anytime I want new Bluegrass gear, I end up ordering from them; seriously, my friend Lindsey and I probably text each other once a week with a screenshot and, ‘did you see this already?! Think I’m gonna order…’  I immediately knew I wanted this tee for the annual UofL-UK basketball game and while it sadly didn’t bring us a win, it was a real crowd pleaser.  Next on my list? This tee of course!

I brought this new black faux suede crossbody with me and it was perfect since it has a charger built in and I tend to do a lot of Twitter stalking/Snapchatting when I go to basketball games.  Francesca’s is running a winter sale that’s up to 70% off.  The cardigan is from last year & I didn’t find any great replicas of it unfortunately.  I did however, round up my top picks from Nordstrom’s half yearly sale – you can find them up in the top right of the sidebar.

Call me a hoarder {I’m well aware of my flawed tendencies haha}, but one of the things that I will for sure do this week is go ahead and buy all of my Christmas wrap, cards, tags, etc. for next year while they’re on major sale.  I typically hit up Hobby Lobby, Pier 1, Nordstrom Rack and World Market and if I have time I’ll make a trip to PaperSource, HomeGoods and TJMaxx as well.  HomeGoods and TJMaxx will have a wide assortment of holiday goodies; I usually pick out some super cute holiday goodies and no one is the wiser.  Also be sure to look for wrapping paper that isn’t super Christmas-y!  My favorite wrapping paper is from Hobby Lobby and has black and white stripes with gold metallic dots; it’s one that I can use year round but was able to snag on clearance.

Nordstrom Rack is running their Clear the Rack promo now through January 2!  If you can go by a store early on in the sale, that’s the best time to treasure hunt.  While my local Rack normally won’t have any high-end designer items, I have found lots of Kendra Scott, Tory Burch, Hunter Boots and makeup steals.  I’m planning to stop by after lunch today to see if I can track down these super cute cupcake earmuffs!  The Sperry Saltwater Boot is on sale for $60-$80 {normally $120} and I can’t say enough good things about mine.  I waited to order mine until we were in the middle of a snowstorm last winter; they are incredibly warm and have great traction {anyone else super clumsy like me?}.

LOFT is running 50% off your entire order; recent purchases that I love include this off the shoulder sweater {I couldn’t decide what to wear on a first date last week and it saved the day}, my polka dot tights, and this comfy cowl neck that I’ve been living in lately.
