Feeling the Blues: a Draper James Derby Day | Why Draper James for Derby?
This brand is quintessentially Southern with the pastels and bold prints it tackles each season. I love that they mix quirky novelty prints along practical cuts that can be worn to showers, Derby, church, the office, and beyond. You may remember this dress as an option I shared for Easter; I love that it’s versatile enough to be perfect all spring and even for Oaks or Derby Day. And if you need another reason to fall in love with this fit and flare, it has pockets! {Totally underrated feature for Derby.}

For Derby Day, I’d definitely want to pull from the baby blue or green in this floral hyacinth print, but if you wanted to rock this frock for Oaks, you could definitely go with a pink fascinator or hat! I knew this baby blue fascinator from Julia’s shop would be the PERFECT number for completing this look.

This graphic print really speaks for itself and so I kept things simple with a pair of baby blue drop earrings to match the fascinator and my favorite everyday short pendant necklace.

LOVE that look – and the pink would also make it super cute for The Oaks!

Here’s the thing, most people look ridiculous in a fascinator. In fact, it’s sooooo bad I’ve thought they should all be shipped to England. Let them look ridiculous over there and let Americans keep their dignity. But you, Nicole, are the first exception I’ve ever seen! You look darling. Only you are allowed to wear them in the US. My rule. 😉

I love this dress! The print is floral without being my grandmother’s floral, you know what I mean? Perfect with the fascinator. Great!
Leela says
I’m seriously obsessed with this dress. And love that you match the wall!
