How to Switch Your Makeup and Skincare for Spring | My Beef with the March BoxyCharm
The past few boxes of this monthly subscription beauty service haven’t hit it out of the park for me. I was excited to have a palette in this month’s box, but this one was a dud for other reasons. It’s worth noting that I receive my monthly BoxyCharm as part of the PR mailing list (it’s gifted to me to review for social media and blog purposes!). Typically, BoxyCharm has subscribers talk about their preferences, skin type, and skin tone when they sign up. As a member of the PR list, I did not get that option and this month received the light-medium CoverFX palette as a result.

Unfortunately, I heard from followers that are Boxy subscribers that had the same issue in receiving the medium/dark palette when they should have gotten the light version.

I’m a big fan of the formula of the Ofra liquid lipsticks; this one has a lot of shimmer so it’s likely headed to my gift/giveaway bag. Always happy to get more makeup brushes. These are both face brushes so they’ll be handy to have. Not sure if I’m the only person that feels this way, but it seems like BoxyCharm includes a new mascara just about every month. I’m still using my Better than Sex from the February box so this one will join my stash.

Finally, I tried out the Wander Beauty peel off mask and wasn’t too impressed. This is a very gentle peel off mask and I really felt like it didn’t do much for my over the top, needy skin.
How to Switch Your Makeup and Skincare for Spring | Charlotte Tilbury Mailer
Gonna be really honest, I had sticker shock when I looked up the retail prices for the Charlotte Tilbury skincare items I got mailed. These products cost more than I typically pay but I was excited to try them out to see how the stacked up compared to what I normally use. The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream was a no go for me. The product needs to be applied in minimal amounts but still left my face super sticky. (Spending the night stuck to my pillow was a new experience.)

I do like the regular magic cream as a moisturizer but don’t know that I’d recommend it before my Patchology moisturizer or even as a splurge, the LUSH Gorgeous moisturizer.
How to Switch Your Makeup and Skincare for Spring | Mighty Patch
Ok onto something I can RAVE about in the best way: the Mighty Patch. I tried a sample of these and liked them so much that I had to order a box before I got through my sample. Put these sticky dots on zits overnight and the swelling goes down, impurities are pulled out, and the acne healing process moves a lot quicker. I recently used them on a cystic breakout I had and found they worked really well for both calming that situation and keeping me from picking at my face.

How to Switch Your Makeup and Skincare for Spring | Pixi Skintreats
This PIXI skincare box came in the mail last week and I immediately pulled out the Glow Mud Mask and T-Zone Peel-Off Mask to use. Very impressed with both of these masks. The Glow Mud Mask is a gentler purifying mask that can be used all over the face or as a spot treatment. I used it in combination with the T-Zone Peel Off Mask. The Peel Off Mask helped with pulling some of the white and blackheads on my nose and just brightening up my t-zone.
