Ladies we have to talk. Come summertime, gingham becomes my print of choice. So it wasn’t shocking at all, when this gingham bow blouse made its way into my shopping cart. With three bows across the back, the top gives a twist to the traditional gingham button down and is breezy enough for summer.

Gingham Bow Blouse | What’s the Skinny?
When you think about prints that you associate with summer, gingham tops the list. Lightweight and breezy this top screams summer. Pair this gingham bow blouse with white jeans or a colorful pair of chino shorts for an easy summer outfit. I tend to overdo the gingham all season long, but couldn’t resist adding this short sleeve black and white gingham bow blouse to my closet.

I kind of feel like I’m cheating on my Cats when I wear black, white and red, but I love the way a classic bandana looks with this black gingham bow blouse. Bandanas are easy to find and super cheap; I snagged mine from Hobby Lobby for about $2. Plus there’s the bonus that you can wear them a ton of different ways — my personal favorites are as a headband, bracelet and neck scarf. Pro tip: iron your bandana to width you like and then double knot it about an inch and a half from your neck to prevent it from being too tight.
To match the bold bandana, I pulled out my watermelon crossbody from Vera Bradley. This bag has a back pocket that you can slip your phone into and room inside for a full size wallet. Here, I wrapped the chain strap around the flap to make the bag a little shorter.

The back makes such a statement, as does the neck scarf! I saw somewhere selling a similar handkerchief for $10!!!

So crazy! I need to pick up a navy and white but can’t see splurging when they’re so cheap at Hobby Lobby & WalMart!
