With summer coming to a close, it’s felt like everything’s been happening at once.  From last minute trips, visits from family, and keeping up with friends it can be hard to just take a minute to myself.  I know I’m not the only one feeling this way which really helps but I wanted to share how I take time for myself in the busy moments and how I recognize those same busy moments for friends.

One of the common themes of my life lately has been attending housewarming parties for friends.  Luckily, this summer I completely nailed how to create a practical and personal housewarming gift that includes Tone® body wash!

Housewarming Gift | Taking a Moment for Yourself

I mentioned that life’s felt nonstop lately; one of the ways I wind down is by incorporating my favorite scents into my daily routine.  For someone like me, that’s always busy, one of the easiest ways to do this is to pick out a new body wash.  Lately, I’ve been using Tone®; they have a wide variety of scents that help me relax and focus on enjoying the moment instead of creating a list of the 7 billion things I have to do.  I picked up these bottles during my last trip to Wal-Mart as well as some fun statement earrings for date night.

#HowITone: Right now, the Tone® Mango Splash is my favorite.  The scent within this orange bottle lingers throughout the day and makes me think of fruity drinks, summer, and sunshine.  The scent makes me happy; I think of summertime with friends and tropical vacations I’ve taken in past years.  When I’m looking to relax and enjoy time by myself, I use Brazilian Glam. The blue bottle is comforting.

Housewarming Gift | Be Practical.

Just like I get stressed, I know my friends that are starting new chapters as they move into new homes are feeling overwhelmed.  I always try to create a housewarming gift basket that I know will be reassuring, practical and also make them feel at home sooner rather than later.

Instead of placing the items, I’m gifting in an actual basket, I try to always pick out a cute wastebasket like this rose gold wire one.  Then I fill it up with items that I know they’ll need and want.  One of my least favorite parts of moving is digging through all my boxes and bags.  By throwing in a bottle of Tone® body wash, my friends won’t be worried about digging out the essentials.

Sticking with the practical theme, I always grab a pack of washcloths and use a ribbon to tie it to the body wash.

    I like to do the same thing! Practical gifts are the ones that mean the most. Toilet paper has been something that we’ve had to buy as soon as we move in every time because I can’t seem to remember to NOT pack it!

    This is a terrific idea!! I honestly LOVE getting practical gifts! People tend to not get them because they aren’t always the “prettiest” but they really are the best!
