I know I say this all the time, but I can’t believe how quickly time is flying by! I’m ready to wrap up the past couple weeks from my Instagram {@whatnicolewore}. I loved this one piece suit when I first saw it online, but was super bummed when the reviews said it had strange sizing. I ended up ordering when Aerie had a $22 swim promo and the suit fits perfectly; I’m excited to wear it next month at the beach and all summer at the pool.
This t-shirt dress seemed like it paired perfectly with my cotton blazer {it’s washable, super soft and not stiff like most blazers #HereForIt}, but I really love how this tassel necklace from Lucie’s Locket made the whole outfit look complete.
I’m so glad I decided to order this dress in white instead of blue or red; it paired perfectly with my hot pink Derby accessories. This might be my favorite Derby look so far this year.
I wasn’t sure how this hat would turn out and after making it I’m ready to make a million more! It was a very straightforward and inexpensive craft project. You can see all the steps to make your own here.
DITTO sent me this S’well bottle as well as some other fun goodies. I hadn’t tried one before but was intrigued by the insulated concept. If you’re not familiar with S’well, they are an Earth friendly company that sells insulated stainless steel bottles. The bottles keep cold drinks cold for 24 hours and hot ones hot for 12. I’ve mentioned before that I’m constantly grabbing tumblers as I run out the door so having a true bottle that I can throw in my bag {and not have to worry about leaking!} has been awesome in itself. I wasn’t a believer at all, but after using my S’well bottle for just two days, I quickly came to the realization that the hype is REAL. My bottle is sitting next to me right now; I filled it with sweet tea around 12:30 and 13 hours later, it’s still cold. The only real knock I have against them is that they’re not dishwasher safe, but I’ve found mine incredible easy to clean.
I was thrilled to find a great selection of Eliza J dresses at my local Nordstrom Rack; they typically run at $150+ at Nordstrom, but they were marked down to the $50-$65 range. I also tried on this blue and white dress!
I was scrolling through photos from this outfit shoot and kept coming back to this one; I’m loving seeing everything in bloom even if it’s making my allergy situation major hell. I went with my parents to Oaks two different years and made my hat with my mom. This one has been hanging out in storage, so I’m glad I thought to pull it out to go with this dress.
So in love with these distressed jeans! They’re super comfy and fit really well as I mentioned in a previous blog post. I mostly love how easy they are to style.
I’m not usually a romper person; I have thighs and a booty so keeping them appropriately covered and feeling comfortable is a pretty big key for me. I tried this one on because it was on sale and some of Old Navy’s items seem to run large lately and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t tight around my legs and looked flattering. I know I want to take this with me to the beach next month and think it’s going to be a very versatile piece in my closet this summer.
