January is (allegedly) 31 days long but it always feels like 31 days + a year. We’re really closing out the month though and with TONS of internet drama to keep us entertained. This week was kind of a beast for me; I’ve felt emotionally on edge, a bit overwhelmed, and am looking forward to the weekend. Hope you’re getting lots of rest this weekend too!

This week’s Bachelor recap is live and let me tell you, we covered a lot. Whether you want to hear a recap of the drama, our thoughts on Anna trying to shame Brittany, or Matt’s friends — we’ve got you covered. You can find past recaps here!
I have to give a big shoutout to Tomi who always makes our thumbnails and uploads to YouTube — the real MVP.

This week’s purchases were very boring but, I ended up ordering all of my daily vitamins in gummy form and have been much better about taking them daily. In case you’re at all like me, here’s the zinc, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin B12 supplements I bought.
As far as what I’m currently eyeing: I’ll likely place an Ulta order this weekend or early next week. I’m almost out of the spray I use when I flat iron my hair. For the same price they have this gift set that’s a full size bottle + a travel size bottle of the Good Behavior so I’ll probably add that to cart.

I’ve almost used up my Farmacy makeup removing balm. It works for me but isn’t life changing so I think I may try the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. My local Costco carries the cleansing oil, but I want to try it out before committing to such a large amount.
Another thing I’m almost out of is…body wash. I’ve bought Bath and Body Works the past few times, but have been wanting to give this Mario Badescu Body Soap a try.

My weekend plans are pretty standard; I’ll try to get up early and shoot photos one of the days and then work ahead on blog and social media stuff. Hoping to also make a pot of my favorite loaded potato soup, read some of the library books I picked up this week (1 & 2), and fit some rest in too. I’ve been meaning to paint my nails for a couple weeks now so maybe I’ll actually get around to it.
FOUR | Friday Five: A Week of Internet Drama + What’s on My Shopping List
Last weekend, I was watching Signed, Blake‘s Instagram Stories of her weekend cleaning routine (linking to her cleaning highlight). I’m not a clean freak, but she busted out the upholstery vacuum and now I want one? Also saw someone use this vacuum to clean their car and it was MAGICAL. Did not bank on this being the year I got excited about vacuums but here we are.
She also used the vacuum on her mattress and busted out linen and disinfectant spray; I dry vacuumed mine but probably need to do this more regularly. So maybe there’s hope for me? Perhaps I can transform into someone that enjoys cleaning? Will share updates.

And to close it out here’s some of the internet reads I’d suggest:
- the Jason Collier drama
- We have First Dogs again!
- Bridgerton is the most watched new series in Netflix history
- RIP Cicely Tyson; love this recent write up on her memoir that was just released
- The story behind the Dior Jordans at the inauguration
