I hope y’all aren’t tired of Derby looks! Today’s look features a super cute ivory floral dress that also would be perfect for Easter. I wanted to share it this week in case you haven’t gotten to pick out a dress yet because there’s still time to order. Read on to get all the details plus me confessing my love for The Hat Girls & Impromptu Boutique, two local businesses that have teamed up to get you Derby ready.

What’s the skinny on the ivory floral dress?
This shift style dress is loose and forgiving making it perfect for chowing down on all your Easter candy. I love to wear white and ivory year round but it’s such a fun neutral to use during the springtime. The frock features coral and blue flowers with gray leaves. This ivory floral dress does have pockets {I know!} and has the ability to be dressed up or down. {Seriously in love with the idea of wearing this under a jean jacket or blush utility vest!}
Devil’s in the details.
I loved that I was able to pull the blue in this dress out to match my headpiece. People always ask hat or fascinator. While I love the look of hats, I have a huge forehead and hats can look a tad odd. {Hats can be stretched out or sized to your head so never fear if you too are a member of Team FiveHead!} While you could definitely pair this dress with a coral or blush necklace, I pulled out my turquoise howlite necklace. I love the chunkiness of this statement piece. I’ve linked to a couple of similar necklaces as this exact one was a one of a kind that I was able to snag off eBay.
Tell me about these local #BossLadies.
Jordan, the owner of Impromptu Boutique, first reached out to me last fall and we worked together on this post. More recently, she asked me if I would model for one of her spring Derby shoots. It was so great to meet her in person; I was hella nervous about modeling. As odd as it seems since I pose for What Nicole Wore all the time, I worried a lot about not being pretty or tall or skinny enough. {We’ve all been there, right?} As you may expect, I felt completely at ease and it was like chatting with a friend {while they snapped a ton of photos of me ;)}.
Right now Jordan’s clothes are available for purchase through the Impromptu website and also at The Hat Girls pop up shop in Norton Commons! While we were doing this shoot, I got to meet Kate and Rachel, the owners and creative minds behind The Hat Girls. I mentioned earlier that I was nervous and let me tell you, the moment I walked into their new pop up space their personalities had me laughing and feeling completely at ease. Getting to hang out at The Hat Shop was such a blast; the ladies have great energy and were so much fun to work with. They are taking custom hat and fascinator orders through Monday, April 10th and their pop up {featuring their ready to purchase pieces} will be open until May 6th.
