As we reach mid-May, the ‘oh my Gosh what am I going to wear to that wedding?!’ scaries can hit, but never fear.  I’ve got you covered; this summer I’m launching the ‘Wedding Chic’ series.  Throughout the summer, I’ll be sharing the best formal looks.  And it all starts with this lavender lace dress from Chicwish.  It’s SO good; I really can’t say enough good things about this frock but I’ll try.

Lavender Lace Dress | What’s the Skinny?

Y’all. So. Much. Yes.  With wedding season sneaking right up on us, this is one of my favorite times to shop for dresses but it can be overwhelming to comb through all of the options out there.  Chicwish always has great options and with their limited quantity, you know you won’t be wearing the same dress as someone else.  {That’s always super reassuring to me!}

This particular dress comes in white and a blush pink as well.  I originally planned to order the white, but thought this lavender could be pretty.  So glad I decided to go with the lavender because this dress makes me feel like a total ten.

While I love to accessorize, for weddings there’s something so convenient about a dress that does all the work for you.  That was a huge part of what drew my eye to this particular dress.  The high neck with coordinating lace at the sleeves and waist adds elegance while differentiating from the floral lace.

Lavender Lace Dress | Devil’s in the Details.

Like I mentioned above, this dress has a classy, elegance that doesn’t require layered jewels so I kept things pretty simple in the accessories department.  Nude pumps and a matching bag complement the dress well. I actually don’t own a nude clutch {I know, I know,} so I always just take the strap off my Love Crossbody.  This bag popped up twice last week: once as a shoulder bag and another time as the traditional crossbody.

My mom will tell you that every respectable young woman should own a pair of pearl earrings, but I’ve substituted mine out for these black druzy studs from Kendra Scott.  Sorry Mom!  While pearls would look amazing with this, I wanted to tie in a couple of black accessories and these small, diamond-shaped studs combine glam and a little bit of edginess.  This new Daniel Wellington watch has been my go-to lately with the black face, rose gold metal band and smaller size.  I talk about my baby wrists quite a bit, but finding a nice watch that can be adjusted to fit me can be a pain.

Finally, I swear I own a nice, respectable, neutral lipstick.  Will you ever see me in it?  Probably not.  I went with my favorite hot pink lipstick, but you could easily pair this with your favorite soft pink too!
