This weekend was one that’s been circled on my calendar for a while now: it was the second annual Louisville food truck festival! I went to the very first one last year and had such a blast that I knew I had to go back. I’m here today to report on my favorite eats; many of the food trucks are based in Louisville so be sure to check them out and support local!

Tackling the Second Louisville Food Truck Festival | The Dream Event for Foodies
I am DEFINITELY a food snob; I enjoy my meals, look forward to trying restaurants when I travel, and have many memories based around food. {Most of my family is like this which is helpful!} Food Truck Festivals of America travels to different cities throughout the United States and assembles awesome lineups of local food trucks for the afternoon. This year’s stop in Louisville featured 25 food trucks and 24 craft breweries!

Tackling the Second Louisville Food Truck Festival | What Was My Favorite
Hands down, my favorite dish was the Louisville Dog from Red Top HotDogs; I’ve never been to their storefront but it is officially added onto my list. I’m also on a MAD hunt for pretzel hot dog buns so if you’ve seen them available for purchase anywhere, please let me know!

Tackling the Second Louisville Food Truck Festival | Why the VIP ticket is worth it!
I’ve done VIP entry both years and truly believe the experience is worth it. You get to enter the festival an hour early, beat the lines, and don’t run the risk of anyone selling out of things. {Last year, beer vendors ran out about 2 hours after general admission started!} On top of early access before the crowds, VIP tickets also get you a $1 off all beer purchases. If you’re like me and not a craft beer drinker, they had hard Italian soda as well as canned wine.
