If you’re looking for a red, white, and blue outfit that you’ll be able to wear now and later as a 4th of July outfit, this is it! This blue gingham dress is one you’ll be able to throw on under a white jean jacket all summer or wear alone with cognac wedges. Here I paired the blue checkered dress with red accessories including my favorite heart sunglasses, a classic matte red lipstick, and the miniature crossbody that I love. The Vera Bradley RFID all in one crossbody is something I own in two different colors; the bag has a dedicated spot for iPhones, full size wallet, and comes with a wristlet strap as well as the adjustable crossbody strap.

What to Wear for Memorial Day Weekend | The Swimsuit Look
Planning to spend the long summer weekend at the pool, lake, or beach? Not a bad way to kick off summer. Throw on this navy one piece swimsuit with your favorite jean shorts or under a sundress when you’re on the way. For me, a fun float is a must have if I’m going to be near the water and if I wanted to be extra {always}, I’d make sure the float matched my swimsuit.

I also can’t say enough good things about the Vera Bradley beach towels. They hold up really well, come in fun colors for summer, and are long. This is one of the few thick pool towels I’ve found that are longer than I am.
What to Wear for Memorial Day Weekend | Traveling for the Long Weekend
Long weekends are the perfect time to explore a new city {or even your own city!} If you’re planning to spend Memorial Day weekend doing just that, this is the casual summer outfit I’d recommend. Chino shorts are easy for walking around and taking in a new town, hitting up outdoor markets, and even amusement parks.

The Instax camera is something I love to bring on trips; the miniature polaroids are cute reminders of your trip and have a place to write notes on too.
What to Wear for Memorial Day Weekend | The Dressed Up but Not Too Dressed Up Outfit
When you want to look nice, but not over the top, this is the look. This casual red, midi dress with polka dots is a summer dress you’ll get lots of wear out of. I love that you can knot a white tee up over the top and wear it as a skirt too. Mix up your prints with some leopard wedge sandals, go more casual with white sneakers, or even dress it up with your favorite block heel.
Hopefully these ideas help you start thinking about your summer outfits!
