I knew as soon as we decided we’d be vacationing abroad that I wanted a cute passport holder. I looked all over and wasn’t finding anything and then Vera Bradley released the Slim Travel Organizer. I had no idea when I purchased it how essential it would be to my travels, but wanted to share and rave about it today.
While it’s name doesn’t indicate that this is a wallet, don’t be fooled…it is. It’s a little longer than I prefer for an everyday wallet but for traveling the longer design is intentional to accommodate boarding passes.
As soon as we landed in Milan, we grabbed train tickets to go to Florence. This wallet became my holy grail because it held my passport, credit card, debit card, hotel room keys, train tickets for day trips all over Italy, airplane boarding passes, Triple C portable iPhone charger, euros and pounds, and Oyster pass.
Oh, and not pictured, the back features a wide zippered compartment for coins. When I got to London, this held all my coins.
This wallet fit perfectly into my Michael Kors Mini Selma that I took as my day to day bag.
When you ride Tren Italia, the conductor can come by at any time and ask to see your ticket to verify that you purchased a ticket. You absolutely could shove these in your purse but to keep the most recent pass on hand and have the peace of mind of knowing exactly where train passes were, I placed all of mine into the top, wide slot of my organizer (this is where my airplane boarding passes lived too).
The second slot in the wallet held my euros as well as any receipts I needed to hold onto.
There are 11 card slots plus a clear window slot for a drivers license. I did not have that many cards on me but used the bottom slots for my debit, credit and hotel room cards. The top slot held my Oyster pass once we were in London. In a super convenient turn of events the pass is a touch pass and could be used by touching my wallet to the sensors. No fumbling to put my pass away and get out of the way for this girl!
The last compartment of the organizer is the passport section which can fit a passport with or without a passport cover. Mine was held in the slot securely.
Overall this is a product that I would strongly recommend to anyone with an international trip on the horizon. This post was not sponsored by Vera Bradley, however, I did purchase the product while I was still employed by the company. All opinions are my own.
