Last week, I got to spend just shy of 24 hours in Nashville. I actually was there for the last stop of Michelle Obama’s book tour, but obviously had to sneak in a couple meals too. While I’m hoping to get back to Nashville for a whole weekend soon, I still wanted to share where I stayed and where we ate.

24 Hour Challenge + What to Do in Nashville | Where We Stayed
We went back and forth on where to stay before deciding on Hotel Preston. This boutique hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from the Nashville airport making it a super central location. It’s also located just off an interchange making it easy to drive whether you’re doing so by rental car or ride share.

I struggle to get a good night’s sleep when I’m not in my own bed but the mattresses at Hotel Preston were super comfortable; the hotel is pet friendly and reasonably priced at around $99/night.
24 Hour Challenge + What to Do in Nashville | For Dinner
For dinner we headed to SILO in the Germantown neighborhood of North Nashville. Y’ALL. It was FIRE. I spent most of this day munching on my road trip snacks but still managed to eat an appetizer, a side, and dessert. SILO features a deviled eggs appetizer with three different kinds of deviled eggs that change regularly. What was great was they had a mix of sweet and savory with how they prepared the eggs.

To round out my meal, I ordered the white cheddar mac and cheese which was so good. Life is too short to skip dessert so I got the salted caramel creme. It comes with some caramel bacon popcorn on the side — the creme was delicious but I’d pass on the popcorn.
24 Hour Challenge + What to Do in Nashville | For Brunch
We originally tried to go to Biscuit Love; we’d heard that the restaurant got crazy lines but thought that going on a Monday morning after work hours would make it bearable. Unfortunately, the line went far down the block. We ended up deciding to head over to Pinewood Social.

Pinewood Social has a bowling alley in the back, a large outdoor patio area with a fire pit and pool, and the “restaurant” portion of the space is the dreamiest on the go workspace. I ordered the BLT + Avocado; they used a roasted tomato which really added flavor to the classic sandwich.

I went to Biscuit Love when I was there in March! The lines are crazy- but the food is good. I’m not sure it would be worth waiting like 45 mins+ for though- so you probably made the right choice to go somewhere else! 😉

24 hours is never enough time in a city (and especially not one with as much going on as Nashville!), but you managed to see so, so much in a short time. Well done!

I’ve never been there but it looks so fun!
