What have you been watching on Netflix lately? Winter always makes me want to hibernate so I’ve been streaming more than I usually do. Today I wanted to share four things I’ve watched lately that I’ve loved and think you will too! Plus I’m trying out the tie dye trend with a comfy sweatshirt.

What I’ve Binged & Loved on Netflix Lately | Surprise I’m a Taylor Swift Fan Now?
Miss Swift’s best album is Red & if you don’t agree you can FIGHT ME in the comments below. Taylor’s never been a fave for me; she has some bops, but to be completely honest I don’t love her music the way some people do. So I was definitely surprised when I saw the trailer for Miss Americana on Twitter. She seemed much more relatable {to me} than she has in the past and I found myself looking forward to watching the doc.

It didn’t disappoint; Taylor dives into her carefully curated image and how an emphasis on being a “nice girl,” often outweighed her doing what she wanted to do. She also gets into the nitty gritty of why she’s chosen to keep her current relationship more under wraps than in the past, the struggle she’s had with body image, and her decision to issue her first statement on politics in 2018. Well worth the watch & a documentary that would make even a Taylor doubter root for her.
What I’ve Binged & Loved on Netflix Lately | Aaron Hernandez Saga
Another Netflix documentary that I was excited to watch was Killer Inside: the Mind of Aaron Hernandez. I don’t follow the NFL all that closely and am not a Patriots (or Gators) fan, so my knowledge of the case was limited to the arrest, him being cut from the team, and a guilty verdict. This three-part series gives tons of background and gets into the facts from Hernandez’s childhood, toxic relationships with his parents, going to college early before covering his behavior leading to his arrest and then in jail.

The whole docudrama is dark but interesting down to the very end. {I have choice words for that radio show host.}
What I’ve Binged & Loved on Netflix Lately | It’s a Cheer Thing
Two weeks into January and it seemed like so many people online were talking about Cheer. I didn’t see myself getting into but was hooked after the first episode. While it’s amazing to see the unthinkable stunts that the squad does, getting to know them and each of their stories is even better. Pretty sure it’s impossible to not get invested in Jerry making mat! And before you ask…yes, I cried during the last episode. With most of the team going back, I’m hoping Netflix is filming a season two!

What I’ve Binged & Loved on Netflix Lately | Bring on the Winter Olympics
Last but not least…Spinning Out. This week, I was SO bummed to hear that Netflix isn’t filming a season two, but I’d still highly recommend this show. It follows Kat, a individual figure skater who can’t get past the mental block of a bad injury. Right as she’s about to quit, she’s offered the opportunity to become a pairs skater. The show has a good balance of showing the sport of ice skating while also tackling a little bit of early adulthood angst, romance, mental health issues, and more. I don’t want to spoil this before anyone watches but UGH hands down my favorite thing I watched last month.

I’ve actually already watched this twice and fully intend to binge it again — judge me. And again, I cried during the last episode because I am who I am. 10 out of 10 would risk it all for Justin Davis. {Netflix, if you’re reading this, it’s not too late to do the right thing and order a second season!!}
What I’ve Binged & Loved on Netflix Lately | The Tie Dye Outfit
I wasn’t sold on the tie dye trend, but I am fully in on the sweatshirt trend. Give me all the fashionable sweatshirts, please. When I tried this tie dye one on, I really liked how it looked paired with jeans and decided to go ahead and go for it. The other day, I was running errands and threw it on with these camo joggers. It’s by no means a subtle print mix, but I was incredibly comfortable — elastic waist pants will do that for you.
