Cozy sweaters are a must this time of year and what’s better than one that’s striped? -whispers- Nothing. This one’s white body features blue stripes and a blue neckline plus it’s slightly longer in the back #winning Obviously, I couldn’t resist.
I paired it with white skinny jeans to give a fresh winter white look, but it could definitely be worn with leggings too. I constantly feel like I get into the winter months and get blindsided with cold weather so this sweater immediately was on my must have list as I know it’s something I’ll be able to wear all the time.

My herringbone vest seemed like the perfect way to top off this sweater, it’s just starting to get cold {read: ugly} here so when I shot these pictures I could still get away with a vest, but I think we’ve finally reached “wow everyone looks like a marshmallow” weather here in Louisville. I know I’ve said it before but this vest is so easy to wear; it can be paired with solids or prints and a wide variety of colors – it’s extremely versatile. While this exact one is sold out, I’ve linked two dupes that are both under $30. With investment pieces, I always try to look at how often I’m going to be able to wear the item, what it goes with that’s already in my closet {while I’d love to buy all new clothes, all the time, the responsible portion of my brain knows that’s not happening}, as well as if it can carry between seasons. This piece definitely passed all of these prerequisites when I purchased it a few years ago and the price per wear is crazy low at this point.
I know people have mixed opinions on white after Labor Day and white jeans in winter; while I haven’t gotten as much wear out of this pair of skinny jeans lately, I do still like the crisp look they provide and can’t wait to wear them more frequently. I liked that with this sweater, everything paired with this outfit really stood out and made a statement.
I bought this statement necklace last year and was kind of disappointed with it when it arrived because it just wouldn’t lay right. I made some adjustments to the chains a couple weeks ago and it looks a lot better. It’s also available in silver here for under $8. I love Baublebar‘s pieces but sometimes balk at the prices; stalking the net for a better deal is usually something I end up doing.
