Snagged this pastel gingham tank from Gordmans last month and am so excited it’s warm enough to wear! As soon as I spotted this multicolor pastel, high neck tank I knew I wanted it. The colors are so fun and the piece just screams spring to me.

Embracing Pastel Gingham in Time for Spring | Spring Colors
One of the reasons I love spring fashion is the return of all the bold colors versus the neutrals that takeover during the fall and winter. Here I went with ALL the color: a turquoise lace kimono, one of my favorite purple crossbody bags, and my new favorite pair of earrings. To make the look really POP, I wore my white skinny jeans — even though it’s before Memorial Day, I felt ready.

Embracing Pastel Gingham in Time for Spring | The Earrings
I talked about my love for statement earrings a little bit in Tuesday’s post but can we just talk about these toucan earrings?! Work the Metal is probably my favorite Louisville boutique to shop for jewelry at; they’re super reasonably priced and always are putting out new pieces. I went to their spring jewelry show and managed to snag these. The bold colors and mix of textures make it so that I’ll easily be able to wear these with tons of outfits.

Embracing Pastel Gingham in Time for Spring | Where I’d Wear It
Lately, life has been all Derby events all the time; I like this outfit for meeting up with friends that may be coming into town. Also if you have friends or family coming into town, I highly recommend taking them on at least one distillery tour and this outfit would be perfect for that.
