How is it already Friday?! Feeling mildly stressed as I sit here enjoying my favorite wine and cheese pairing (pink moscato and queso #itcounts) and thinking about the people still on my Christmas list. Tis the season, y’all. I’m super stoked, though, to be done with Secret Santa shopping and to start some wrapping this weekend.
I’m pretty sure I hit a new low of blanket scarf addition last week; while shopping for my tacky Christmas outfit, I went into FiveBelow and spied this beauty. The best part was, that it’s super close to being square which meant I could cut it in half and get rid of some of the bulkiness. I also like that the blue in this one is cobalt instead of navy. At $5, I really wasn’t going to pass it up and I snagged a few for Christmas gifts + Secret Santa, etc. Check out your local store to score this scarf plus a few other color combos.
When I went to take pictures, it was super windy and chillier than normal; we’re going through a 50-60* December and I’m not complaining a bit. I am, slightly terrified of what “spring” will look like. -please no March snowstorms-
Plaid and gingham are one of my favorite pattern pairings lately. I pulled the blue in this scarf out even more by wearing my blue gingham shirt. I’ve told you before and I’ll tell you again: gingham is so versatile and a neutral colored gingham button down is one of those wardrobe must haves for me.
With the pattern mixing going on, I opted to complete the look with soft neutrals: a cream quilted vest to keep me warm and blush skinny jeans that may or may not be my new favorite. I kept the accessorizing game to a minimum and pulled out my Stella and Dot gold ring; I love that it’s adjustable so that I can change the width based on what hand and finger I’m wearing it on.
Thanks so much for reading; hope you have a great weekend!
