I love a good deal and this outfit is just that! {Y’all my polka dot dress was only $1.25! I know!} Work wear often gets a reputation of being boring or stuffy. And the truth is, it doesn’t have to be. In this post, I’m sharing a work wear dress that’s easy to recreate around this polka dot dress. Don’t have a polka dot dress? Just pull out your trusty shift dress.

Polka Dot Dress | What’s the Skinny?
J. Crew Factory had run a promotion where you received a $20 cash card for every $100 you spent. A couple weekends ago, I stopped by my store at the Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass and spotted this cute polka dot dress. I tried on the 00 and 0, because of the shift cut and my rounded hips the 0 worked better. The best part however, was when I got to the register and the dress rang up as final sale. After turning over my cash card, I only had to pay $1.25 — quite the deal.
Navy has been my neutral of choice for the past couple of years so I know that this dress is one I’ll be able to wear all the time. Of course, one of the reasons that I immediately snatched this dress up was its versatility. Express blazers fit just the way I like and are always reasonable priced at their Factory stores. This one was a clearance section find & perfectly matches the white polka dots.

Because of the neutral colors, you have a lot of freedom when it comes to accessories. I went with light pink and coral, two of my favorite hues for springtime. Tassel earrings are all the rage; this specific pair is a little heavy to be completely honest. I have this pair {in navy} from Baublebar’s line for Target and LOVE them. They’re so lightweight, don’t tug at my earlobes, and are flat out comfortable to wear. My pink beaded necklace is one of my favorite necklaces; guys I have it in four different colors. #NoShameInMyGame. I find myself reaching for these necklaces a lot because they’re bold without being heavy and have the variety of strands.
Now onto the bag. While this is the bag that I carry the most out of all my handbags, it rarely makes it onto the blog. This is mainly due to the fact that since it’s my school/work bag, it’s always bogged down with a hundred different things but I want to brag on it a little. The front zip pocket is big enough for your planner or an iPad and this size fits a notebook, binder and my MacBook Pro on top of all the other stuff I carry every day! There’s a top zip and three inside pockets. Naturally, one of my pockets holds all my felt tip pens and the other always has lip liner and lipstick. Again, #RealLifeConfessions.
I’m telling you all of this right now because it’s 50% off making it just under $150. While it’s still an investment for most of us, I consider that a great price on a leather bag of this quality.
