I’ve been eyeing the jumper trend for a couple months now; my blogger pals Gaonou & Nicole both wore jumpers during the last fashion panel we’re on. I’d tried on a few and had no luck, but luckily I stopped into Impromptu Boutique’s new store in Oxmoor! I immediately wanted to try this skirtall on and absolutely loved it.

How to Rock the Skirtall Trend | Find a Cut That Works For Your Body Type
I’ve talked about this a lot but my body is a classic pear shape meaning that often I have to wear a larger size for bottoms than tops. Dresses and one pieces can be tough because I am smaller up top but need a larger bottom or fabric with some give. While I love the corduroy jumpers, I’ve had to accept that most aren’t cut the right way for my body. Luckily, this navy and gold plaid skirt all is a little forgiving and sizing up didn’t make the straps too long.

How to Rock the Skirtall Trend | Grab Your Coordinating Colors
Part of the reason this piece from Impromptu caught my eye is because I love wearing navy and gold during the holidays. {It’s a fun alternative if you get burnt out on red and green!} I knew I’d be able to break this out for holiday outings but I also knew that the colors in this plaid would work with a lot of pieces already in my closet.

The plaid also features a baby blue and a burgundy stripe so I wore the skirt all over a Madewell burgundy striped turtleneck that I snagged at Gordmans for just $6.
How to Rock the Skirtall Trend | Amp Up Your Makeup
I’ve been switching up my makeup by testing out different eyeshadow looks lately. Urban Decay sent me the Naked Cherry collection and I’m wearing the eyeshadow palette in these photos. The shades are super blendable and the pigmentation is great.

Typically, I wouldn’t think to use red and pink eyeshadows but I’m really happy that this palette has challenged me to try those shades out.
