Happy happy Labor Day! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend; I so enjoyed being off work, but am back to work today. Here’s hoping I can avoid going into any stores at the outlet center for one more day.

Last week, I got a chance to go up to Joe Huber’s Family Farm up in Indiana. Despite the fact that I’ve lived in Louisville for years, this was my first time going! We picked up a little bit of everything in their store and so far I’d have to say I’m most in love with the corn. It was so delicious and I’m regretting that we didn’t buy more.
I really wanted an outfit that was cute, but also comfortable so that if we decided to go out to the orchards to pick peaches I wouldn’t be wobbling around or worrying about my clothes. With how hot it’s been lately, I opted for this cozy summer dress that I bought on major clearance recently. This dress sold out online and at most Francesca’s boutiques, but if you happen to be near an outlet location they may have it on clearance and currently offering an additional 40% off at some outlet locations. I’m a big fan of the lightweight material and detailing at the hem. I plan to wear this dress a ton next summer, but also under a sweater and with boots this fall.
With walking being a possibility, I grabbed the latest addition to my Nike collection and kept my accessories light. I hate a heavy purse when I’m on the go so my Kate Spade cross body was perfect for holding my wallet, keys and sunglasses. Again, nothing too heavy jewelry wise either to avoid tangling (and sweat).
And….here are some of my top sale picks on this last day of the long sale weekend:
- This trapeze sweater! I bought this a couple weeks ago and love the flowy fit in the torso and fitted sleeves. I haven’t had a real chance to wear it yet, but did model it in this picture yesterday. At $14, I’m trying to resist purchasing the other colors.
- Chevron Necklace | This long necklace is great for layering and at under $8 with free shipping, you honestly can’t beat it. Pair it with a shorter pendant or a necklace that falls closer to the sternum (like maybe my favorite Kendra Scott necklace that’s currently on sale in coral.)
- The number one fall staple: The Vest. I won’t go on and on about how much you need a a vest and show you how versatile they are (but if you need convincing this post shows you how I styled puffer vests last fall as well as my other fall essentials), but I will tell you that the herringbone is only $54 right now as well as the solids. I own these vests in navy, cream, forest green, navy and white striped, gingham, black and buffalo plaid. Loving this chambray print version as well as this olive vest.
- This cognac, quilted cross body. I love the texture and color of this bag. While the color always seems to get super popular around fall, it’s most certainly one that you can carry year round.
Also, don’t forget to check out Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty that started yesterday. Today they have Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel in clear for half off ($11).
