Derby week calls for the most dramatic statement pieces and a stocked bar cart. As soon as I spotted this one shoulder jumpsuit, I knew I needed it for a Derby outfit. It ended up being a great match for a fascinator I already had and voila. We have a Derby bar cart and outfit ready to share.

As -soon- as I saw this jumpsuit, I knew I wanted to create a Derby look with it. The combo of hot pink, orange, coral, and navy is gorgeous and the statement piece would be perfect for Oaks Day, Derby, and upcoming dressier, summer events like weddings.

One thing that I really love is that it’s such a good match with this fascinator I already had from Fascinate Designs. Lots of people choose to not rewear fascinators and Derby hats but if you tend to shop within the same color palette, it’s possible to do. In my opinion, this look is very different from the original look I used this fascinator for too.

You’ll notice two sponsors of the Kentucky Derby on my bar cart: Woodford Reserve and White Claw. Having bourbon is a must so you can make classic Derby drinks like the Mint Julep or switch things up with a bourbon smash or Woodford Spire.

Highly recommend having grab and go options, like the White Claws, available for those that might be unsure of bourbon or don’t want to drink hard liquor.

I really like adding personal touches to my drink cart. Flowers are a favorite of mine, but you can really add anything: bunting, Derby cocktail napkins, decorative (and reusable) straws, etc. For Derby, I wanted to display some of this year’s glasses as well as some of the older Kentucky Oaks glasses from my collection. These pink ones are used to serve Lilys.

When I saw this horse statue, it felt like the perfect addition and I couldn’t resist this potted hydrangea. You could substitute for fresh red roses to tie in more of Derby or go for a flower completely outside the big race, like I did here.
