Sometimes you need time for an item to grow on you and sometimes you see a new arrival and think, “Mine!” That second one sums up my feelings on this striped cardigan from LOFT. Between the stripes, longer length and draped front, I was immediately on board.
STRIPED CARDIGAN | IN THIS POST:
So here’s the skinny on the striped cardigan:
LOFT is pretty good about running promotions regularly so if you ever spot a new arrival you like, wait for a sale. Right now, all tops and sweaters are buy one, get one half off — including this striped cardigan. While I’m a fan of bold color, the neutral stripes in this cardigan immediately caught my eye. Wanting to really let it have it’s moment, I opted to wear it with my cream cowl neck sweater from SheIn. The sleeveless sweater is longer so I did a front tuck to keep from overwhelming my frame.
The accessories make the outfit:
The cream, gray and black of this striped cardigan make it easy to style with pieces already in your closet and even easier to accessorize. Since I was wearing a big cowl neck, I kept things simple and layered two necklaces from Francesca’s. They do a great job of having a huge variety of fashion jewelry that reflects the biggest trends while still being affordable. Case and point: this new beaded strand necklace that’s just $26! For this outfit, I reached for my gold chevron pendant necklace as my longer necklace. This black velvet choker can be worn looped twice with a bow in the front but when I couldn’t get it to cooperate {#typical}, I opted to double it up and hide the tie in the back of my striped cardigan. My accidental, double choker look is surprisingly chicane definitely worth recreating.
