You guys, I have a confession to make.  I am constantly riding the struggle bus!  Last week completely kicked my tail, so over the weekend I caught up on sleep and stopped looking at my email inbox.  Admittedly, it was kind of amazing to give myself that level of grace.  And what does a laid-back weekend call for?  Well a laid-back weekend outfit, of course.  I’m still loving all things one shoulder for summer & broke out this top with some comfortable shorts.

One Shoulder for Summer | What’s the Skinny?

Remember when I wore this top with white jeans?  That’s what I really love about summer shirts: their versatility.  As hot as it’s been lately in Louisville, I opted to wear this one shoulder blouse with my favorite pair of chino shorts.  While I normally am drawn to colorful outfits, I liked the easiness of this neutral look for summer.  This top is easy to throw on and the fringe detail along the ruffle helps elevate the blouse.

For summer, I love easy pieces and so I rely a lot on my accessories {and beauty choices!} to complete a summer outfit.  Lately, I’ve been itching to break out my calf hair, leopard clutch, so I grabbed the blogger favorite bag as well as some calf hair sandals.  I love that this pair has the pop of red, but most of all I adore how comfortable these slides are.  Keeping my jewelry lightweight becomes a priority during the hot summer months.  This time, I reached for a simple cord choker necklace and a pair of statement earrings.  My ball drop earrings from the Sugarfix by Baublebar collection have been on repeat since they’re lightweight and the black and white stripes go with so much.

    This looks great on you. I have tried a few of the shoulders this year but I have not found anything I really like. I think this would be good for me though!
