Friday 5: The Weekly Roundup | Watching
While I’m ready to see how this season of The Bachelorette ends, I’m not super thrilled for Bachelor in Paradise. Hopefully I’m pleasantly surprised. If you’re subscribed to my newsletter, you already know that I was pleasantly surprised by the Love is Blind: After the Altar special. I binged all three episodes in one sitting last weekend and have zero regrets about the decision.
Shared this on Instagram Stories this week, but I’ve been majorly in my feelings with all the feel good stories of the Olympics. A personal favorite was the video of hurdler Melissa González’s husband, Detroit Lion David Blough, watching her qualify for the 400m hurdles.

Friday 5: The Weekly Roundup | Buying
My favorite purchases this week were for Ashley Spivey’s #ClearTheLists back to school campaign. Teachers, counselors, and others that work in schools regularly create Amazon wish lists and to celebrate their hard work, Ashley asks her community to come together, give back, and #ClearTheLists. It looks like there’s just one list left currently but I know this may get updated with new teacher wish lists. It’s a fun way to give back if you’re so moved.
For myself, I snagged this red maxi dress from Amazon; I’ve been on the hunt for more summer dresses and this one is lightweight which I love. The fabric does seem to wrinkle easily but nothing that a quick run over with the steamer can’t fix. Favorite purchase for myself was probably the two cheeseburger meal I picked up from McDonald’s. I got a Sprite with it for the first time in what felt like forever; it was delicious and I was surprised when I googled that there’s actual science behind it.
Friday 5: The Weekly Roundup | Weekend Plans
Probably going to have a laidback weekend but I am planning on going to Old Town Alexandria so that I can try Goodies Frozen Custard. I had gelato at a place across the street earlier in the summer and knew I needed to come back to try Goodies after seeing the line wrapped around the building. If it’s not too hot, I may walk over to Penny Post because I love a paper goods store.
