I’ve been using the Neutrogena naturals wipes after receiving them in a Vox Box for a little over a week now so I thought I’d share my thoughts! Each pack of wipes comes with 25 towelettes inside made of 100% renewable fiber. The formula is 97% naturally derived and free of harsh chemicals.
Influenster sent these out to celebrate Earth Month and challenged each recipient to go 3 days without using any water to wash their face — just the wipes.
I hated it.
Quite a few people I follow also received these wipes, so I’m looking forward to hearing their thoughts on the wipes. I felt like the wipes removed 60-70% of my face makeup but unlike the description and the “clinically proven” guarantee to remove dirt, oil and makeup, I found myself with a ton of makeup residue each night. The wipes have a very pleasant smell and are soft, I might even go as far as to say that they pull more makeup off my face than my usual wipes. But all of the makeup? Not a chance.
I felt comfortable using the wipes to clean my face on days when I hadn’t worn makeup which is how I managed to get through the #WipeForWater challenge.
I’ve continued to use the wipes the way I normally do: as a “prewash” before my spin brush. Out of curiosity, I checked to see how much makeup was on my brush head after washing my face and found tons of foundation, mascara and blush on it.
It’s definitely possible that I’m a bit high strung when it comes to skin care. I had horrible acne as a teen and early adult and still am very, very cautious about it. Having a clean, makeup free face at the end of each day is very important to me (and to keeping my skin from getting angry).
I would recommend these wipes to someone with sensitive skin looking for a new makeup remover due to the natural ingredients as long as they understood they’d still need to wash after to pull off makeup residue and all of their mascara.
-These wipes were given to me for free by Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes.-

Do you think that maybe how much make up might affect your experience? I have dry skin and use very little make up and very rarely. I’m just starting my 3 day challenge today! Thanks

I did use the wipes on days when I didn’t wear makeup. I wasn’t a huge fan of the sticky residue it left on my face and felt I still had oil on my face but with your skin type it may be more effective. Thanks for reading!
