There will definitely be a few more items in my bag — but these are some of the essentials, I for sure know I’ll be traveling with next week.
I received the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 as a gift from Dressbarn and am super excited to use it in conjunction with my travel journal. I do think I’ll stick to mostly taking pictures with my PowerShot and iPhone but am excited to play with my new toy!
I took a microfiber Vera before and love the convenience of the pockets inside and outside. I’m boring and chose black because it’s easy to match and I don’t necessarily have to worry so much about clashing between my clothes and a patterned purse.
I do know that I for sure will be toting a small cross body purse with me again, I just haven’t completely narrowed it down to which one. I snagged a set of Kate Spade mini notebooks from my local HomeGoods and think they’re the perfect size to keep in my purse. I keep a small one in my bag here at home along with a Target dollar spot pen and find it’s nice to have when I think of something important or need to make a quick list.
Sharpie pens are my absolute fave, I can’t live without my Kindle and I’ve found that a mobile power bank is such a necessity when traveling.

I am going on a trip this weekend and a trip the week after that and have been trying to narrow down what I am taking with me. I am afraid I will have a LOT more things than you, but my essentials are a portable charger (so necessary), my ipad mini, 2 pairs sunglasses, snacks and lip gloss.
Yaya I hope you had a great trip! I definitely hear you on having a hard time limiting what you take; I went to Chicago recently and changed out my carry on bag what felt like a million times.
