March is here and as we enter the second half of the month, I’m bringing back my Derby Days series. Today marks our first Derby post of 2017 and I’m styling a white lace dress that is perfect for spring. This little number from Chicwish has a white lace overlay and the cutest criss cross open back.
In this post | White Lace Dress:
What’s the skinny on the white lace dress for Derby?
This dress has small white lace triangles along the side of the bodice and and then has those same triangles that cross across the back. Under the white lace overlay is a peach-nude slip underneath that gives it a beautiful, feminine look. I pulled out a cream fascinator to tie the look together. This fascinator is on a headband and under $25!
Devil’s in the details:
I tied in the nude underlay of this dress with a pair of nude, patent pumps and my favorite nude, leather crossbody. The key to wearing a black or white dress during the spring is bright accessories. I went with pastels between my nail polish and necklace. My mint bib necklace is from Baublebar’s collection with Target and right now the whole collection is buy one, get one half off. I picked up this necklace in blush when the collection first launched. After wearing it constantly, I finally caved and snagged the mint necklace while it was on sale. My tassel earrings are another piece from the collection; what I like about the earrings in this collection is how lightweight they are. I love the look of some of my other tassel earrings but can’t wear them for more than a few hours.
