One of my most played songs is Fifth Harmony’s Work from Home, but I never anticipated that we would {almost} all be working from home! Seeing as remote working is the new normal, I thought it would be fun to show off my home office setup plus share what readers’ said were their work from home must haves! Let me know in the comments if you have a desk at home or if you’re still working from your couch/bed — no judgement!

Reader Approved Work from Home Favorites + My Space | Let Me Spill
While I had a dedicated home office space, I hadn’t really set one up at my new home. I knew with starting a new job it was time to stop sitting up against my headboard and actually create a dedicated workspace. My old desk was incredibly sturdy but I knew I wanted something lighter both in overall weight and in color.

After browsing quite a bit, I ended up opting for this white and gold writing desk. {It also comes in black!} It doesn’t have as much storage as my old desk, but I love the white and gold combo {#basic} and think the legs are super pretty while also being stable. Loved the idea of a desk with hairpin legs like this, but worried that it might get wobbly when I aggressively typed. Putting the desk together wasn’t too bad; it definitely took longer than the 35 minutes that the instruction manual said, but I was able to do it myself, only needed a Phillips screwdriver, and was done in about an hour and a half.
With the desk being white, I want to be mindful of ink stains so I’ll probably end up ordering another desk calendar mat. Two years ago I snagged one from the Target dollar section and LOVED it. A similar reader suggestion is to get a desk sized mouse pad to protect your desk from scratches, spills, and stains.

I also went ahead and made the executive decision to replace my old desk chair. My old chair frequently left me with back pain and wasn’t cute so it was time to let it go. This pink velvet desk chair is classified as mid-back, but I like that it’s solid and provides lower back support. My old chair had a gap with no lower back support before the back cushion and in my mind, that is why my back hated the chair. {I never thought I’d be blogging about back pain and office chairs but here. we. are.}

So far, I’m liking this chair better, but give me a little more time to truly sit in it all day before I give a final verdict. In all honesty, I never thought that I’d be willing to splurge on a desk chair but getting a comfortable one seems so important to me now.
When I asked on Instagram about remote working essentials, a ton of you shared that getting an ergonomic chair has been a game changer.
Reader Approved Work from Home Favorites + My Space | A Chic Lamp
While I have a ring light for Zoom meetings, I knew I wanted to get a table lamp for my desk as well. Originally, I planned on ordering this marble base lamp, but then realized the sphere was clear glass and worried the direct light may get old. Knowing that this was the modern style of fixture I wanted, I did a little more browsing before finding this similar LED lamp. The glass of the sphere is frosted so I don’t have to worry about hurting my eyes. It has an on and off switch on the power cord and the quality is really nice. I could see ordering these lamps for nightstands!

Let’s dive into it: these pants are AMAZING. Their slip on pants and the waistband is elastic in the back and flat in the front. I’m wearing the wide-leg cropped version in leopard, but already am planning to order a pair in navy! They’re easy to wear with a basic tee or a dressier blouse and also comfortable enough to sit cross legged in your desk chair while working all day. Easy enough to pair with a blazer, jean jacket, or a leather jacket.

With all of my work equipment I ended up buying a hefty desk, but I really like pretty writing desks such as yours. That chair is awesome!
